In Honor of Our 18th Anniversary, Our Dedicated Team Shares What It Means to Be a Part of the HMS Family
We’d like to thank the entire HMS team for their vital work and commitment to making the world a better place. Here are just a few quotes from members of our extremely dedicated team:
“To be a part of the HMS family is to be a part of a very work-friendly, warm and professional environment. It has fully enriched my life. I can’t think of a better place to work.” -Carol Harshaw, Exceptions Analyst II
“Why I love working at HMS is simple. Day in and day out I get the opportunity to work with a great team of people that are out there on the field, in the front lines looking out for people that can’t look out for themselves.” -Derek Jackson, Director of Human Resources
“I love working at HMS because my work is always appreciated. No matter how small I think it may be, I’m always reminded that it makes a big impact. At HMS we are family. It’s a great support system. We cry together, we laugh together and the company’s core values align exactly with what I believe in.” -Eugenie Tanguep, Exceptions Analyst II
“What I love about HMS is we are a team. From the newest employee to the most tenured employee, we operate with the same mission. And that mission is to serve the vulnerable community. No matter the title, we are one team.” -Gwen Graves, Project Director/Columbia Officer Manager
“The corporate mission of protecting vulnerable populations and veterans, supported by colleagues who are passionate in that mission is the reason I love working for HMS.” -William Turner, Chief Strategy Officer
Since HMS first opened its doors 18 years ago on August 8, President Leah Heimbach and the entire HMS team have been dedicated to serving federal and state agencies that protect vulnerable populations and veterans. We blend our unique healthcare and technology expertise to create bold yet cost-effective solutions that federal and state agencies and our private-sector partners need to make sure your loved ones get the best possible care in nursing homes and other healthcare settings, no matter where in America they live.
HMS’ Celebrates Its 18-year Passion for Protecting Vulnerable Populations by Donating $1,800 to Senior Center’s Home-Delivered Meals Program
In honor of our 18th anniversary, we are donating $1,800 to the Marion County Senior Citizens, Inc., to help support the Home-Delivered Meals Program that serves seniors throughout Marion County, West Virginia, via the Marion County Senior Center in Fairmont. The $1,800 donation will cover the cost of 300 meals for Marion County seniors.
Home-Delivered Meals serves people 60 years and older who are unable to prepare meals for themselves for a variety of reasons. The program delivers at least five meals per week to deserving seniors in our local communities who need our help.
“No senior should have to worry about falling through cracks in the system, especially when it comes to their nutrition and health,” said Leah Heimbach, of HMS. “The Home-Delivered Meals program here in Marion County does an excellent job of efficiently getting seniors the food they need.”
HMS is headquartered in West Virginia and has long supported community services and projects here. HMS leaders and team members devote their time, talent, and resources to improving the lives of others, and are deeply vested in aiding specific causes and populations.
